Fasting

The ashtami of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapad month is celebrated as Shri Radhashtami.

Devotees fast on this day and worship Lord Krishna and Radha. Offer crown, flower garland, clothes and toran at Radhakrishna temple. Then decorate the Radhakrishna idol with flowers, incense sticks and perfume.
Then build a mandap with five colours and then make a kamalyantra in the shape of 16 dal inside the mandap. Keep an idol of Radhakrishna in the middle of the kamalyantra. Offer prayers and sweets.
Perform jagaran at night.
It is believed that fasting on Radhashtami appeases Goddess Lakshmi. Fasting on this day brings prosperity and wealth home.

See only the form of Sri Krishna

The story of her birth goes like this – On a half-moon night in the month of Bhadra, King Vrishabhanu came to the Yamuna to bathe and found himself engulfed in a golden aura, the golden aura of pure love. It was emanating from a lotus, which had a baby girl standing on its whorl. When the king returned to the palace with the baby, Queen Kirtida was delighted. She was also shocked that the girl was blind.

Lord Krishna’s mother, Yashoda, heard that her best friend Kirtida had a baby, so she came to visit along with her husband and her son. Krishna crawled up to the cradle and pulled Himself up and looked in. At that moment, Srimati Radharani’s eyes fluttered and opened wide and blossomed like lotuses. She did not want to see anything of this world, only the form of Sri Krishna.

Pasa-Ghata

About 20 m (60 ft) further down the path is the Manoranjan Dharamshala. Directly across the path, is a door that leads to Syama-Kunda. If you go through this door you come to a stone platform jutting out into Syama-Kunda. This place is known as Pasa-Ghata, which is where Radha and Krishna are said to play
during their midday pastimes. Govinda Lilamrita says that Radha and Krishna play dice in Sudevi's kunja on the northwest side of Radha-Kunda.In this compound is a temple that commemorates
